Other creatures, bugs, grubs ticks Daddy Long Legs and creepy crawlies seen in Bulgaria
There are many creatures I have only seen in Bulgaria, most are proving difficult to get photos of, the pictures on this page I will put some of the creatures I have managed to photograph so far!

This grasshopper is very well camouflaged amongst the grasses and weeds
Some of the camouflaged grasshoppers jump as you get close to them and when their wings are open you can catch a glimpse of colour!
Some grasshoppers showed red under their wings, some turquoise blue while others green! Alas I have not been quick enough to catch photos of the coloured wings, yet!
we have found many of these fly ticks on our dog and other dogs. Catching them is almost impossible as they are so fast and very buzzy creatures. The dogs reaction is usually to try to run away from the noise the fly is creating while its in their fur, usually around the dogs ears. To locate the fly, you must brush the dogs fur with your hands to disturb the fly into moving, but once the fly begins to move, it proves to be a very fast mover! Until I saw these close up photos of the insect, I had used my fingers to try to squeeze it off the dog. I think in future I may not be quite so fast to do that! Armour plated gloves may be called for!
This fly ate bubbles, but there's many more sheep with their ticks out there, ready and waiting for the mutt to pass by and even with flea and tick repellent already on the dog in the form of Frontline, these ticks don't seem to be fussy, they will eat anything!
I have tried to take close up photos of this tick like creature that was sucking blood from my dog from every angle this sickening looking tick fly, but have uploaded them in medium quality for fast loading.
